French Butter Dish

This butter keeper will keep your butter fresh on the table or counter and at the perfect consistency for spreading year round.  In the summer it will keep the butter from melting and in the winter, it will keep the butter spreadable.  There is no need to refrigerate!


To use it, squish a softened stick of butter into the cup on the lid. Put enough cool water in the base so that it will cover the rim of the butter cup when it is inverted into the base. The water forms a seal to keep air out, which helps your butter stay soft and fresh. Change the water every few days and the butter will stay fresh for about a month.  All of my pottery is dishwasher and microwave safe. All my glazes are lead free.  Each pot is thrown by hand so variations may occur.
